Had a fantastic long weekend stay with my family, the food was incredible and the staff where all extremely friendly and accommodating. The rear garden is stunning and perfect to enjoy a drink in! I couldn’t recommend a stay/visit highly enough. We will be back at the end of the year for another visit! See you then!

Had a fantastic stay with my family to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. A great family hotel especially for kids as they can run around the beautiful gardens. The rooms were all quirky and the hotel was full of character. The standout was the dinner, this was truly superb. Big on quantity and quality. Very reasonably priced too. Would certainly return.

Lovely old house and I think good value if your looking to stay in the area. The room had an old clean room smell. Which I really liked. The staff and owner was really nice with a lovely doggy.

Quite possibly the best pub I’ve ever been to. Great atmosphere, amazing garden near stream. Lovely pint and the food is spot on. Could spend all day in the garden.

Sadly on arrival our mum couldn't use the toilet as it wasn't accessable. She walks with a stick but the steps are too sheer and numerous. After 2+ hours driving it was a setback.

We stayed here for one night and found the place idyllic. The room was large with a double bed. Tv. Large bathroom and large wardrobe. The only downside for me was that it didn't have a proper shower just a shower attachment in the bath …

I can't comment on the rooms but we had a lovely meal here. We both had the tempura battered haddock and chips with peas and homemade tartare sauce and it was superb. The service was impeccable and the location quite glorious. It is easy to drive past as it is on a busy road but don't, it's well worth a stop even if only for a drink in the garden by the river.
